X&R (pronounced “Xander”) debuted with his album Liftoff, which ventures to the edges of the universe. The first track, “We Embark” (with GoldBeats Official), is a hopeful anthem of expedition. However, the rest of the album soon takes over with its uniquely brooding and somber tone, reflecting the reality of space’s harsh and empty environment. Each track explores a different aspect of space exploration, most of which are unwelcoming, but all of which are awe-striking.
